Everton manager David Moyes faces a battle to keep talented left-back Leighton Baines after reports in The Daily Mail claim Italian side Napoli are now interested.
The 27-year-old has again been linked with a summer move away from Goodison Park but the Everton officials value the England international at around £20million, a fee that Napoli may be unwilling to pay.
In recent days, there has been renewed interest from Manchester United who were reportedly preparing a bid for Baines this summer, though chief executive David Gill insists that no approach has been made.
Baines was subject to a £12million bid from German side Bayern Munich last year though Everton managed to keep hold of him.
Borussia Munchengladbach are on the verge of signing highly rated Junior Hoilett. The Sun are reporting that despite strong interest from Arsenal and Tottenham, the 23-year-old is looking more and more likely to make the switch to the Bundesliga. The winger is out of contract at Ewood Park and talks of his next destination have been hotly discussed all season.
Hoilett has played 81 games for Blackburn Rovers and scored 12 times, but it is thought that his future is a bright one, hence the battle for his signature from Europe’s elite. The North London clubs seemed his most likely destination at one stage, but reports from Europe suggest the deal with Munchengladbach is already signed. Bayern Munich were also keen on the player.
According to Sky, German club Bayern Munich has offered midfielder Tymoshchuk to two Italian clubs Inter and AC Milan.
The man who has made nearly 600 appearances in club football across the continent, is sure to leave the German club before the start of next season. He has been limited to bits and part role in Munich, but has probably made his last appearance in the famous red jersey in the final of the champions league. Although the Ukrainian international, who has won 116 caps for his nation, has steered away from commenting on his future. In an interview some time back, Tymoshchuk has said “I want to make my work here and I don’t think about any rumours or my future. I’m not tracking any news“. Spartak Moscow has been linked with a move for him for a long time now.
Now, according to Sky, Bayern have offered him to Inter and AC Milan. Bayern will be looking to sell some players in order to make space for some new faces. Both the Milanese club have been in the look out for a defensive midfielder, with Milan loosing lot of experience head through retirement. Inter has already been linked with a move for Real Madrid’s Lassana Diarra and Nigel de Jong of Manchester City. But Tymoshchuk mite only seem to be a back-up plan considering his age.
