PSG close to 65m double Milan swoop

AC Milan superstars Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva could be set for a big money move to PSG, according to reports in Italy.

PSG, managed by former Milan Coach Leonardo, is a big admirer of the duo, and despite Thiago Silva recently signing a new deal with the Rossoneri, the newly rich French side are thought to be preparing a 65m Euro move.

It is believed Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has given the ok to the deal, and vice-president Adriano Galliani will fly to Paris to continue talks.

QPR sign Man Utd midfielder Park

Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung, taking the South Korea international to Loftus Road for a fee of £5m, the BBC has reported.

Park had a year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, having signed an extension last summer, but has been allowed by Sir Alex Ferguson to move on to pastures new. Park becomes QPR manager Mark Hughes’ sixth signing of the summer so far, after the former United striker also brought in Andrew Johnson, Ryan Nelsen and Robert Green, all on free transfers, and made the loan deal of Samba Diakite permanent. Park will also see a familiar face at QPR as the club have already signed Fabio da Silva on loan from Man Utd.

The 31-year-old made 133 Premier League appearances for United, scoring 19 goals, and won the league title four times and the Champions League once in his seven years at the club.

QPR swoop for England keeper

Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes has revealed his delight at securing the services of England goalkeeper Rob Green.

The West Ham United shotstopper was strongly linked with a move away from Upton Park, with his current deal set to end on July 1, and a number of Premier League clubs were believed to be interested in the 32-year-old.

However, Rangers, who are 9/2 to be relegated from the top flight next season with bet365, have won the race to sign Green and Hughes was pleased to have the veteran keeper on board at Loftus Road.

He told the club’s official website: “It was important we brought another quality keeper into the group.

“Rob is obviously someone with vast experience at international and Premier League level and his pedigree speaks for itself.

“He’s got all the characteristics of a top keeper and he’ll be a huge addition for us who will stimulate the goalkeeping group, which can only be good for the squad as a whole.”
