Newly promoted Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang have completed the signings of Yannick Carrasco and Nicolas Gaitan from Atletico Madrid. Gaitan becomes the latest Argentine to make the CSL switch following in the recent footsteps of Javier Mascherano and Augusto Fernandez.
The owner of Dalian is Wang Jianlin, who also has a holding in Atletico Madrid.
Carrasco, 24, had a rocky relationship with Diego Simeone and become the second Belgian international to move to the CSL. He is expected to earn around 10 million euros a year in China, with Dalian paying Atleti a 30 million euro fee (7.5% of Carrasco’s Dalian transfer fee is expected to go to Monaco)
Dalian also recently completed the signing of Jose Fonte from West Ham, with the Portuguese international moving to get some important playing time in a World Cup year. They were originally rumoured to be wanting to sign Torres along with Carrasco but have settled for Gaitan instead.
