Fourth tier outfit Stevenage have agreed a deal with Arsenal to take youngster Ben Sheaf on loan till the end of the season. The teenager, a central midfielder by trade, becomes Stevenage’s second signing of the winter transfer window after Tom King (from Millwall, also on loan)
Sheaf has been restricted to two substitute appearances for Arsenal’s senior side this season- 1 minute in their 1-0 Europa win over Red Star, and six minutes in their Cup quarterfinal against West Ham. In the former, he replaced Francis Coquelin, who has now left the Gunners for Valencia, and in the latter, he came on for Joe Willock.
Stevenage are currently 15th in League Two and are away at Chesterfield this weekend.
