Villa managerial uncertainty could lead to Shay Given's exit

Queens Park Rangers could exploit Aston Villa’s failure to land a manager to replace Alex Mcleish by swooping for goalkeeper Shay Given.

In today’s Daily Telegraph it is suggested that Rangers boss Mark Hughes has named Given as his number one transfer target as he looks to rejuvenate  his squad who narrowly avoided relegation in their first season back in the Premier League.

Hughes’ interest in Given won’t come as a shock to many after the Republic of Ireland keeper was signed by Hughes whilst at Manchester City and Given himself was an outspoken critic of his sacking by the Premier League winners.
