It has already become one of the more interesting transfer deals of the summer, despite the fact that the 21 year old playmaker only finished his season last week. Today’s Telegraph reports that Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have all agreed deals to sign the Lille man.
Chelsea may have emerged as late front runners due to their recent success in the Champions League and Hazard’s wage demands, reported to be around £200,000 a week. United and City are apparently less willing to make him one of their clubs highest earners when he is still far from a fully established talent. Hazard has declared that he will announce his future after Belgium’s friendly this weekend, however he also promised the same after Lille’s last game of the season, so it remains to be seen if that will materialise.
