Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle has said that he is open to making his loan stay at West Bromwich Albion a permanent one in the summer. Gayle has been a revelation in the Championship for the Baggies and is on a season long loan at the Hawthorns from the Magpies.
Gayle revealed that the thought of making the switch permanent had crossed his mind and that “he was very happy playing his football” at Albion. A lot would however depend on whether the Baggies can return to the top flight for the 2019/20 season and what happens to Newcastle in the Premier League this season.
Albion are currently 5th in the Championship table after 17 rounds of footy, five behind leaders Norwich City. The free flowing Baggies though have found the back of the net 37 times so far, more than any other team in the league, and Gayle, with his nine goals, has played a massive role. Brighton striker Jurgen Locadia has told media sources in his native Netherlands that he is frustrated with the lack of playing time at the Amex and is seeking to leave the Seagulls in the upcoming winter window.
Locadia told De Telegraaf that he did not feel his situation at Brighton would change soon and that he was hoping for a move either to Spain or Germany, adding that he wanted to play “at the highest level”

German giants Bayern Munich are reportedly planning a raid on several of their league rivals, with newspaper Bild claiming that Kai Havertz (Leverkusen), Kevin Vogt (Hoffenheim) and Luka Jovic (Eintracht) are all on the Bavarians’ shopping list.
Bayern have endured a tough start to the season under Niko Kovac and are already seven points behind Borussia Dortmund after last weekend’s Klassiker defeat.
Havertz started for Germany last night against Russia and provided an inch perfect pass to set up Serge Gnabry for Die Mannschaft’s third. He’s only 19 and there were definitely signs in Leipzig that he could take over the playmaking mantle from the retired Mesut Ozil for the national side.
